What is e02_cut ?

E-TASC (Electronics – Tool for Accountable Supply Chains) is both a community and a technology.

E-TASC as community is an initiative of GeSI (Global e-Sustainability Initiative) and is the ICT industry standard solution for improving the environmental and social practices within the supply chain. The community is supported by an operational working group and an executive council which drive adoption of the initiative, recommend improvements to the tool and advise on best practices.

E-TASC as a technology is powered by EcoVadis, a collaborative platform that enables companies to monitor the sustainability performance of their suppliers across 150 sectors and 102 countries.

How does e02_cut work?

E-TASC companies have joined forces to share their suppliers’ audit and assessment results in one platform.
If you have received a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) evaluation request on behalf of E-TASC, it is because you are a supplier to at least one member of this initiative.

Accepting the request will increase your visibility to additional companies in your sector and avoid duplicative efforts by sharing one evaluation with multiple clients or potential clients.

When answering a request from an E-TASC member company, supplier’s can select the members within the Sector Initiative with whom they want to share the results of their assessment. Unselected members will only see limited supplier information (company name, country HQ, category).

E-TASC member companies using the tool to evaluate supplier perfomance.:
AMDOCS, Buy’In , Deutsche Telekom , EE , Liberty Global , Nokia , Orange , Swisscom , Tele2 , Telefonica , Telenor , Telia , Verizon , VimpelCom

E-TASC evaluates and monitors supplier sustainability performance on four themes: Environment, Labor/Human Rights, Fair Business Practices and Sustainable Procurement.  Suppliers using E-TASC complete an assessment questionnaire and provide supporting documentation to demonstrate their CSR practices.  The assessment is available in English, French, Chinese (Mandarin). German, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Dutch, Russian, Japanese and Italian.

The data and information provided in the assessment is reviewed by an expert analyst team, scored and the results are published to both the supplier and their customer(s) in E-TASC.  The resulting scorecard supports the GeSI member companies by helping them assess their own or that of their suppliers corporate social responsibility risk and identify key areas of improvement.
