Nokia contributes actively to several GeSI Working Groups and appreciates the novel industry dialogue, sharing of good practices and especially the tools, reports and analyses that have been developed to take the sustainability agenda forward not only in the ICT industry but also by driving practical co-operation that encompasses the needs of many industrial sectors.

Working with our peers, customers and international organizations in GeSI has created many industry firsts including the 'SMART 2020' report that for the first time identified the contribution which the ICT industry can make in creating a low carbon economy; including reduction objectives of the ICT industry’s own emissions as well as how ICT will enable other industries and consumers to achieve significant emissions reductions.
