Vodafone values the quality of industry collaboration found in the GeSI working groups.  The Extractives Working Group has enabled our industry to take a leadership position on the issue of conflict minerals.  It has created valuable tools and programmes that will help Vodafone and other companies to address this issue, including the legal compliance aspects.  The E-waste Working Group’s recent support of the E-Waste Academy in Ghana helped produce an educational and thought-provoking event which has created a strong basis for future collaboration with policymakers and SMEs in developing markets.
