On July 15th, the ITU,  GSMA and GeSI organized a session on ICT as a catalyst for sustainable development, on the closing day of the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. This event was well received and supported with persons from UNDP, the EU, Members of the Group of 77, UN Women, Congo, CEB  and other NGOs and stakeholders. 

The GeSI Vice-Chairman Chris Lloyd/Verizon presented the recent GeSI report on ICT for the SDGs, #SystemTransformation, and the GeSI commitment to make the SDGs its framework for action in the coming years. Further information on the session and the overall event agenda can be found here.

The High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development is the United Nations' central platform for the follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals, adopted at the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit on 25 September 2015.
