Brussels, March 15 - Today, the Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) is pleased to welcome Taiwan Mobile amongst its membership of leading companies and organizations from the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) sector. As Taiwan's leading telecommunications provider, offering "Quadruple Play" services covering mobile, fixed-line, cable TV and broadband, Taiwan Mobile fully recognizes the crucial role of ICT in addressing societal challenges such as climate change, and shares GeSI's vision of creating a sustainable world through responsible, ICT-enabled transformation.

GeSI currently gathers over thirty of the world's leading information and communication technologies (ICT) companies. After Fujitsu and Samsung, Taiwan Mobile is the third Asian company to have joined GeSI in the last year.
