The Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) at the University of Sussex and CREDS are presenting their research on the impacts of ICTs on energy consumption, and they're seeking the input and feedback of relevant stakeholders throughout their research process.
The research is being carried out as part of our work on the Centre for Research into Energy Demand Solutions (CREDS) that aims to understand the changes in energy demand needed for the transition to a secure and affordable, net-zero society.
This project – Anticipating future impacts of ICTs on energy consumption – aims to examine current and future drivers of energy consumption related to ICTs, and to develop scenarios that explore the two big transformations we are facing, digitalisation and decarbonisation, and the interactions between them.
