Birgit Klesper is Senior Vice President, Corporate Responsibility, for Deutsche Telekom in Bonn, Germany. She joined the company in 2006 and held various positions in Corporate Communications, Transformational Change and Human Resources, among others. Prior to that, she was the Spokeswoman of the Wella Group and responsible for Corporate Communications (worldwide). Following Procter & Gamble's take-over of Wella AG in 2004, she took additional responsibility as Director of Communications for Procter & Gamble. She also held various positions in corporate communications and public relations with Philip Morris and Tchibo Coffee Company.
Birgit Klesper engaged in the Private Sector Advisory Board of GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit - international cooperation for sustainable development). She is furthermore a member of the Board of Global e-Sustainability Initiative, of the Board of Trustees of “Aktion Deutschland hilft” (alliance of German aid organizations) and of German CSR-Forum. Recently she took over voluntary service in the board of management of the initiative “Charta der digitalen Vernetzung”.
