I am pleased to announce that GeSI has successfully concluded the recruitment of the new Director.
The recruitment process was conducted by a London based professional agency on behalf of GeSI.
Around 50 qualified professionals applied for the job. Out of those, the Agency selected a short list of 6 for a final Interview with the GeSI Chairman. Chiara Venturini was the one selected to take the position at the GeSI Brussels office. She will join GeSI as Director, effective May 19.
Chiara joins GeSI from TechAmerica Europe (TAE), where she worked as Environment and Standards Manager, representing ICT and high-tech sector companies of US parentage. Her portfolio at TAE included e-waste and chemicals management, supply chain issues, conflict minerals, and consumer product safety.
Prior to that, Chiara worked for trade associations representing the fuel cells and ceramic sectors respectively, focusing on sustainability and environmental topics.
She also worked in the consulting sector, coordinating projects on innovative energy technologies.
Chiara holds a Master's Degree in International Relations and a post-grade in management of EU-funded projects.
In addition to her native Italian, she speaks English, French and Dutch.
The GeSI Board is glad to have recruited Chiara and we do look forward to working with her.
