Paris, 9 December - The Momentum for Change ICT Solutions event took place today in the Blue Zone at COP21. The event was the occasion to bring together ICT thought leaders to reflect on the contribution given by the sector in tackling climate change, and to share stories from the winners of the 2015 Momentum for Change ICT Solutions Lighthouse Activities, which were announced at the end of October.

The first session saw the participation of a number of industry leaders, including GeSI members Joan Krajewski/Microsoft, Malcolm Johnson/ITU, and Hubertus von Roenne/BT, who illustrated the enabling opportunities of ICT technologies and discussed the actions needed to fully reap their benefits.

The second session was dedicated to the 2015 Lighthouse Activites, success stories which provided examples of the importance of ICT-based solutions in building resilience to climate change. Further information on the 2015 projects can be found on the Momentum for Change website.
