The Global e-Sustainability Initiative is now hiring a Communications Officer for its Brussels office.

Main Responsibilities

  • Developing and managing communication materials and channels including newsletter, website and social media, events calendar
  • Building and maintaining media relations and drafting press releases
  • Monitoring media publications for member and industry news
  • Assisting with membership and activity programme enquiries
  • Supporting the GeSI Managing Director and Board with the running of the organisation’s programmes
  • Managing member and stakeholder database
  • Supporting events management
  • Managing operational expenses and financial reporting
  • Managing office logistics as needed to support the smooth running of the office

Profile

  • University degree, preferably in communications, social, or political sciences
  • Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in communications and/or administration and office management
  • Strong communication skills with a good understanding of social media
  • Excellent English. A good knowledge of French is highly desirable, other languages a bonus
  • Familiarity with database and marketing mailing software, as well as with website CSR systems
  • Good organisations skills and the ability to take ownership of and manage a range of tasks
  • Prior experience with sustainability issues, climate change, and the ICT industry is highly desirable
