Guilherme Collares Pereira

Adviser to the CEO

Guilherme is the Adviser to the CEO of GeSI.

He brings 27 years of successful business experience and Director of several Business Associations in Portugal and abroad, such as: AIP; CCP; ANJE; AIRO; NERLEI; APDSI; WFC

Between 2007 and 2021 he wasDirector of “Social Innovation” at Fundação EDP - Energias de Portugal S.A. where he developed corporate social responsibility and sustainability policies and strategies; introduced social innovation and social investments, as well as, new mechanisms and instruments to finance, monetize, evaluate and develop capacity building programs for social organizations. He also conceived and set up, the first partnership with UNHCR to bring renewable energy solutions to Refugee Camps (Kakuma Project in Kenya). Later, at EDP Renewables S.A., he developed and manged a new EDP initiative “A2E - Access to Energy” to fight and alleviate poverty, on remote rural areas in Africa and central America. 

In 2021 Guilherme retired from EDP Renewables. 

At present, he collaborates, as a pro-bono adviser: CDI- Portugal (Center for Digital Inclusion); TESE - Organization for Development; IES - Institute for Social Entrepreneurship; Apps for Good-UK (trustee); ESLIDER; and  SECTOR 3.
